The first time traveller was a Victorian gentleman who travelled to a post-apocalyptic future inhabited by a civilisation called the Mylocks. This is as much as we know because this man, John Barts, was assassinated while on holiday in France…probably by a British agent. His memoirs have since disappeared.
Thanks to Government suppression time travel experienced a long hiatus and only returned to the fore when Dr. E. Brown, professor of time-space continuums at St. Emmet’s College, Cambridge, published a paper in the journal Physics Quarterly, that claimed he had invented a vehicle that could “distort space-time and arrive at a point which we refer to in the past tense simply by achieving a sufficient speed.” (Brown, 1985, pp. 14/18). Brown’s theories have been since confirmed by leading scientists as being “completely fact.” (World P

On 27 July 1986, Dr, Brown disappeared from his lab at St. Emmet’s. What remains of his theories have fallen into obscurity and there is no record of him outside of classified Government

I can confirm, as a scientist and friend of Dr Brown, that this article is ridden with fact. I met Dr Brown a month before his disappearance and he really was a brilliant man. He showed me a working prototype of his machine. The day after his disappearance some men in black suits came to my house and warned me never to speak of his work. Since then, they have continuously tried to discredit me and in some circles my name is practically a joke. I am speaking out now because I know that in the wrong hands time travel can be abused and could potentially bring an end to all that we hold dear on this planet. Although it is very dangerous for me to write, I feel that this is bigger than me or the British secret service and the word needs to be spread about their dangerous experiments.

I quit 3 years ago after delivering a parcel to an apparently numberless address down a side alley, spitting distance from the palace of westminster. The building was a run down warehouse. when i rang the bell nobody answered... i looked through a crack in the blacke-out windows and saw lots of science types fiddling with some wierd looking car. After about 10mins and a very disconcerting sound the car started smoking, i got out of there before anything bad happened. Do you think this has anything to do with Dr. Browns theories?
